Well it’s been a short but stressful week at work and I found myself snacking a little, albeit reasonably healthily and in moderation. I also took a break from my workout routine yesterday since I was feeling a little achy in some of my joints and had pushed my flexibility a bit in the workout the day before. I did have to shovel snow for 40+ minutes so I guess I did a workout of sorts!
So with all this in mind, and realizing I had not weighed myself since the 4th, I expected to see no progress or perhaps a slight gain. On the 4th I weighed in at 169.0 lbs. TODAY I weighed 167.6lbs. Nice.
Wim Hof progress too I guess. I have not been tracking to see how long my breath hold is tho I think it is slightly better. I took my 30 second cold shower today like a champ tho, which was also unexpected since I was really not in the mood for any of this. So yay me, I guess.
I am up to session 19 of 43 in GMB’s Element’s program. Slowly I am starting to see I am improving on the basics.
I am pretty sure all these efforts – the diet, exercise and conditioning (I guess that is how to categorize Wim Hof?) I have some decent resilience for the current stress at work. This will be a rough month actually since I have to manage a transition that has multiple levels of complexity and includes the loss of 18 contractors. So I have to manage my stress and the stress of my team right now. But, these items are helping.
Also, the apple watch is proving of use with the stand reminders since I can easily get stuck on my couch all day with these current back-to-back meetings. So I am moving a bit more even on the days I am busy.
