Starting 45 seconds of cold shower ala Wim Hof method was off to a rough start but then I recall an interview where someone who was getting into the method note that he preferred the ice baths over the showers since with the shower you are in a constant state of getting shocked as you turn since the parts not in water are not adjusted to the cold.
When I did it I would keep spinning slowly to allow all of me to get wet. Instead what I did was linger. I let my front acclimate and then I would turn around and do the same, then repeat. Basically still turning but with longer pauses. So, so much better, especially when I catch my beathing. I can see myself getting through the 1 minute mark with this technique.
