Cheat Day Recovery Progress

Posted on January 24, 2022January 24, 2022 by John

Just curious to see how long it takes to bounce back from my semi-cheat meal that included some sugar and more carbs than usual.  Rest was dirty keto at worse.

Today weight is down to 166.6lb so already on path to where I was.  Just one pound to go!

Only other thing I noticed yesterday when I went for a short hike was the low energy. I did not feel a sustained slow burn of energy I have come to associate with keto, and my legs felt a bit heavy.  Was not horrible, maybe 85-90% of normal energy level like when I was was first starting out.  Could have just been an off-day too of course.

Also I finished the 20 day cold shower challenge on wim hof method and starting next round of 20 days, which mean for week 1 it is 1 min 15 secs.  Can’t say I like cold showers, but I don’t have the same dread.  The body adapts quickly and I just sort of humor myself as I do it.  There is less shock and and my breathing is more controlled, with the occasional shocked breathing. At this point I pretty much know I can do it without issue – I am just not overly enthused about it.
